TWINNING

The European Multi Twin, or EMT, is a grouping of European chambers, one each from Germany, Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Britain. JCI Hull and East Yorkshire is the British twin in this group. You can find out more about our Multi-Twin at the Multi-Twin official website: www.jci-emt.org

The original purpose of the EMT was to increase social and cultural relations between chambers of European countries and to offer networking opportunities to the members. This is achieved through the hosting of twice-yearly meetings for member chambers. These weekend-long events consist of a variety of social and training activities, and culminate in a gala dinner. Accommodation is provided through home hospitality, so members get the unique opportunity to get to know their fellow Jaycees and truly experience the host country. JCI HEY sends representatives to all of these conferences, and attendance is available to all members. Speak to any member who has attended one of these events and you will be met with a flood of enthusiasm and excitement. The friendliness and hospitality that is shared at these events is a joy to experience.

We are also twinned with JCI Mackay in Queensland, Australia. Mackay is on the East Coast of Australia.

CONFERENCES

A highlight for many people are the conferences which are held at a European and a World level. As well as the opportunity of seeing a foreign city from the inside, international conferences also allow you to:

  • attend high quality training events given and supported by major international organisations
  • develop valuable business and professional contacts with other Jaycees around the globe
  • forge lasting friendships with people from completely different cultures and walks of life, with the common bond of membership of JCI and the belief that the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations
